Thanks to human and technology networks--Cisco’s 63,000 employees and the Community Connection IT platform--the 2011 Global Hunger Relief campaign generated US$4 million for hunger relief organizations.
Cisco employees donated US$1.6 million. Matches from the Cisco Foundation and Cisco Chairman Emeritus John Morgridge pushed the total over US$4 million.
That translates to 28 million meals for hungry people around the world.
