Employees volunteer hands-on help with food sorts at food bank warehouses and also make cash donations during the annual Global Hunger Relief Campaign. In 2012, employees contributed 38,800 volunteer hours and raised over $4 million total via their personal donations which were triple matched. Our 2013 activities included:
The Cisco Foundation matches employee volunteer time to qualifying nonprofit organizations and U.S. schools with a $10/hour cash contribution. During fiscal year 2013, Cisco employees contributed more than 129,000 volunteer hours. Employees are encouraged to volunteer at least one day of service every year.
Teams of employee champions at select Cisco locations plan volunteer events, develop partnerships, roll out product donation programs, and make local cash donations.
