Cisco Worldwide Headquarters are located in Silicon Valley where the company was founded. Due to our unique relationship with the Silicon Valley community we offer a special, annual open application grant request process for Bay Area programs within a 50-mile radius of our San Jose, California, headquarters.

These grants focus on a subset of our standard investment areas:

Cisco seeks to invest in programs that promote wellness and positive health habits, especially in the areas of obesity and violence prevention as these epidemics affect children.
  2. Education: K-8 Programs
Cisco seeks to invest in programs that make it possible for every child to attain a quality education as demonstrated by improved student attendance, behavior, and increased math, science or literacy course performance.

Evaluation Criteria

See Community Impact Cash Grant Evaluation Criteria
Note: Grant proposals must include SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) metrics to help Cisco and the grantee measure progress towards success.

Eligibility

Open Application Community Impact Cash Grants are available to qualifying programs within a 50 mile radius of Cisco's corporate headquarters in San Jose, California. The organization does not need to be within this radius, as long as the program seeking funding operates within the area.
See Community Impact Cash Grant Eligibility Requirements
NOTE: Organizations that have received two years of consecutive funding must wait one year before reapplying. This approach enables Cisco to serve a wider range of deserving organizations in the community.
