Cisco and the Cisco Foundation partner with nonprofits, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community-based organizations to carry out many of our Corporate Social Responsibility programs. We support nonprofits, NGOs, and community organizations directly with cash and product grants, as well as employee time and expertise.
To multiply the impact of our investments, we support organizations that assist underserved populations and use technology in innovative ways to scale their reach to more people, improve the efficiency of their operations, and multiply the impact of their services.
Specifically, we support organizations working in the areas of critical human needs, economic empowerment, and education. Our current partners illustrate the diverse benefits yielded by our social investments around the world.
Cisco and the Cisco Foundation offer the following forms of support to nonprofits, NGOs, and community-based organizations:
Springwire, a Cisco partner and grantee, provides a personal voice mail service called Community Voice Mail to people in transition so they can overcome hardship and connect to potential employers and services. Video by Springwire.
Cisco support has enabled the Grameen Foundation to develop powerful online tools that enable microfinance institutions to provide more small loans and business resources that can lift people out of poverty.
